HTML Filtering Improvements
Hey everyone,
We are rolling out some improvements to our HTML filtering, which will be fully rolled out by the end of this week. We believe that this will make the overall user experience better on hi5. The key features of the new filtering are:
1. Style Tag cannot be used in profile content such as "About Me" and "Interests". It can still be used in "Customize Profile" (there is HTML Tips link with examples on how to use styles in profile). For Example, if you used style in Interests section to place a background image in your profile, that will need to be moved to "Customize Profile" section.
2. Certain HTML tags will not be allowed. Most of the tags that you use today will still be allowed.
These improvements will not affect most of you, while making your experience on hi5 better as you view content posted by others!
Your feedback is welcomed.
Thanks and enjoy!

People who use Official skins and want to stylize something, will need to copy the skin STYLE to 'customize profile', in order to change something that it's very easy at the moment (before this new filter)...
What is the purpose of that new filter?

You should be following the HTML standard and allowing ALL HTML tags EVERYWHERE (including in journal posts). Saying that some HTML tags are "bad" is bogus.
