Hi Everyone,
hi5 will need to turn IM off in some more countries today, and this time we plan for it to be off for several weeks, at least.

This is necessary, in order to work on some performance issues, and also build a foundation to incorporate your excellent feedback into IM. When it comes back, it should be better than ever!

IM will remain ON for now in only these countries:
Costa Rica
Guatemala
El Salvador
Venezuela
Greece
Macedonia
Malta
Mauritius

Thanks for your patience! We know you'll miss it while its gone, and we'll be working to bring it back as quickly as possible. I'll post updates as we have them :-)

umm I don't think so cause I don't have those in my profile , I know what you mean but no, it is weird though , you will know that sound from another instant messenger when you get instant messaged... ( did not mention no name of any other ) :) n no it can't b that the noise is coming from that specific messenger because I don't sign in it so its off , the first time I heard it I did think it was that other messenger but just so happens I wasn't even signed in ... that's what led me to believe in the first place that the sound I sometimes hear when I'm going back n forth on my own home n profile had something to do with the IM ... but now I know that no it doesn't ,n especially that I don't have that service yet , I do have another question waiting on a topic itself can you plz check on that one ? thank you :)

Just a thought (& probably wrong lol) but this sound you hear .. could it be from those little chat boxes people have on their profiles & in some groups??

ok thanks for answering my question siko, which now I wonder than what is that noise that sounds like n IM when someone instant messages you?... like in other messengers hmmm ... but am looking forward to be able to have the IM here in hi5 thanks

IM doesn't have a sound, as far as I know, honey.
IM isn't live in Puerto Rico yet, so thats likely why you haven't seen it. We hope to make it available there soon, though!
