My colleague who is a researcher is on the verge of completing some very important medical discovery that will be of great benefit to many. During the research session, he is shot at by enemies and the bullet is logged in his spine causing him intense pain. If I operate on him, he has only one chance out of one hundred to survive. The more I wait, the better chance he has to complete his work but the less chance he has to survive. What ought I to do in this state of affairs?

Chris, i usually extend my respect to people like you who convince themselves that their opinion is plausible while in actual sense, they leave the real issue unaddressed. why beg the question?
Danny, i agree with you. but my problem is that in such a pain, my colleague may not be in a position to to make the right choice.n i was thinking of a choice which has a greater benefit to many.
hi Coty, thanx for advising Chris. but he has betryed his sanity online!i wish he preserved that time and energy for something more contructive, or kept his lips together.
