Suzan: indeed, does it really matter if a black man prefers a white woman? Or if a white man prefers a black woman? Or even if a white/black woman prefers a black/white man? All combinations are possible and we shouldn't blame them for anything. Why should we? I really don't understand why it should irritate you at all, for as long as everybody keeps respecting each other. And actually that's what is irritating me when reading some of the messages.

Love has no boundaries in regards of color, gender, and distance but what Ahmed mentioned here i'm afraid there is a bit of truth in it. Take it for e.g - I knew this nigerian guy who came to Australia few yrs ago, as the old tale go i'm sure you all heard of such stories before...well he married a white lady who was twice his age, lived to together for 2yrs and got divorced & he fought her in court over his share of properties that she owned. Apparently that was his planned before he stepped in AUS soil, beside there are other friends of his did exctally that & this old lady knew all about it before she married him. Now where is justices? He basically took advantage of her, and she was stupid, all she cared about was to be with a black man according to her afterwords.....that type of mentality made me think.

@ Mario & everyone else: to be clear, there is nothing wrong with dating outside of the race if that is your personal preference. However, it is shameful when people of color date outside of the race based on stereotypes and poor personal experiences.the problem is when our black men describe us as being conservative and & old-fashioned, we are expected to be picked up, pay for our dinner, and drop us off at the front door
with no more than a peck on the cheek. Whereas white women are often more daring,adventurous and self assured in the bedroom. I must admit Our black mens' ideas are reinforcing the stereotype that black women are demanding, confrontational and belligerent. Now can somebody tell me why on earth such assessments & comparisons won't irritate me??? Well if some of the massges here do irritate you Mario, at least now you know why this subject is my concern.

Fran i never meant for you to get offended it is only my opinion but i will say this there are alot of african/black men who do date white women but it's only for a short time. this is extremely true within somali men because most of our somali women don't give it up. and you can also ask a majority of black women and men and they would agree with me with exception to a few. dont get me wrong LOVE IS COLORBLIND but for the most part i would have to say what i stated is more of an accuracy. sorry if ur offended.
