Hello all. It's been a long time since I posted here. Been following the threads on most days though, so I'm not totally lost.
Been reviewing a few things lately and this question came. Will the GOD we serve also be the same GOD that will condemn us to an everlasting hell fire? Could this be true, or do we have the wrong concept of hell itself?
If God wouldnt have punished people for their crimes against other peoples, than Satan and his followers would have the chance to keep doing it for ETERNITY.
No there will be an END. Everything is Temporarly. Only God is EVERLASTING>
hi kirk, yea been loooong time you were not here, i remember we talked in a topic from loong time ago :D and i remember it was something important..but cant remember what it is
any way, been missing you.. --------------
for the heaven and hell issue (according to my islamic background), it is simple like that
1- who believes in GOD as HE ordered, and sticked to the orders, and made the good deeds and didnt make the bad deeds (or repented after doing them)...he is in heaven by the will of GOD
2- if a person didnt believe in GOD, or denied him, or etc... he is in hell (if he didnt repent before death) and hope no one be there
3- in between the believers of GOD..if some one's bad deeds were more than the good deeds (1 good deed = 10, and 1 sin = 1)...he goes to hell for his bad deeds and then get out of it after his punishment ends, and then goes to heaven (unlike non-believers..they stay there to eternity)
4- justice on judgement day : is that even non-believers will take thei rights (if they were harmed by any person), not the believers only...and after ALL HUMANITY take it's rights and be judged, they are finally clear to go to wich way (heaven or hell)
irma may you please tell me the verses that mentions that entering heaven is throw jesus and not throw the LORD GOD who's above the heavens...thx .

Heaven is for those Who genuinly repented and converted from their evil(SINFULL) ways and received the forgivness of SINS in the NAME OF JESUS.
There is forgivness of the Sins only in the Name of JESUS if we seek for this. Thats the gospel of JESUS.
Roman 6:23 23 For the wages of SIN is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through FAITH in His Blood, to declare his righteousness for the REMISSION OF SINS that are past, through the forbearance of God;
ACTS 2 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be Baptized every one of you in the NAME of Jesus Christ for the REMISSION of SINS, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall CALL.
Acts 4 :12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be SAVED.
ACTS 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive FORGIVNESS of SINS, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by FAITH that is in me.
Col. 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: ACTS 13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this Man (JESUS) is preached unto you the FORGIVNESS of SINS: ACTS 10:43 To Him (JESUS) give ALL the Prophets witness, that through HIS NAME whosoever Believeth in HIM shall receive remission of sins.
Remission = AS forgivness of SINS For this is My blood of the NEW TESTAMENT, which is shed for many for the REMISSIONS of SINS.
And many more.
Tere, These are just verses, but if you wanna know what Salvation is all about, than it would be much better to read the NewTestament.
Hi Tere. I think we started talking about Islam, like from it's basic history, but we got side-tracked somewhere along the line. I joined your group a few weeks ago too, so expect me to start posting there soon:)
I really want to know about the 'everlasting' part of being in hell. Most doctrines teach an eternal punishment. Just wanted to get a feel of the views here.
Marius, your comments normally leave me confused. This one is no different...
