In Rai(khambu) community......
-From this year 2008, Kirat Rai Yayokkha Central commette has urged everyone to not make use of that word to signify our Kirat Rai(khambu) tration of Sakela n Sakela puja... instead of "chandi" u can either use ani of these kirati names such as the Sakela, or the Sakewa, or the Folsader, or the Sakhewa, or the Sakenwa, or the Tosi, etc etc respective to what rai u are....
....................................................................
whats the different between "chandi" and "sakela"???
- the one n only difference between chandi and sakela is that the term"chandi" does not come ani near to the culture of Kirat rai(khambus)... there isn't ani such word as the "chandi" to signify our(rai) culture and the tradition of sakela-ubhouli/udhouli... if u even see in the "rydum mundhum", the nakchhong(dhami) does not utter or even come near the word "chandi" while reciting it(mantra)..
.............................................................................
sunuwar daju bhai didi baini haruho... mathi ko principle sunuwar community ma pani lagna sakchha.. maile bujhe anusar, sunuwar harule "fal syadar" ko rup ma afno festival lai chinnu parchha =.. ma yei ho ta bhandina kinaki "chandi" word sunuwar community ko sanskar ma significance rakhna sakla.. afai bujhera dicision garnuhola..

simple logical expaination,
sakela = kirati festival
fal syadar = kirati festival
sakewa = kirati festival
chasok = kirat festival
chandi = NOT KIRAI FESTIVAL (i don't know where that term came into our culture, it does not give ani significance to our festival or ethnic culture - according to rai beliefs)
Calling it "chandi" was a mistake...

Yes, I understand fact that when we celebrating Saydar (what I was referring Chandi before), it's called Sakela (other terms as u specified here). Moreover you have clarify in written form. I was unaware of the term before. Thanx for this!
I know you have pointed in many place throughout my profile pictures. I appreciate your effort on educating.
It's not fault on people not to understand term, it's about people not educating them properly and people not having interest. I found you very aggressive on it, keep it up. It's good to have someone like you. All the best. I am in support wherever/whenever i can. Thanx again.
