Shyness can be very painful, and many people don't understand that. It is not something that can be overcome in a day, or even a month. It may take even years to make even small progress. Everyone is different when overcoming shyness.
For me, I haven't overcome it yet and I've been dealing with it since I was little. I am 17 now, but I hadn't attempted to overcome shyness until I was 15. I can talk to boys that I like, but I still get flustered a lot. I have trouble finding words to say, because my mind doesn't have them when I talk to a cute guy.

I think that you and I can make slow progress with baby steps to help us work towards a more socially pleasant life.
It's not our faults that we are shy. Nothing to be ashamed oh.
And as long as we work at it, we can't go wrong.
