Hi there... I'm a disciple of Jesus Christ. Would like to understand evolution as much as posible. I did study that in some science courses and found it pathetic, superficial and I have the impression that it takes lots of faith on your behalf guys to believe that scientifical theory and you should hear the Gospel, repent and believe in Jesus Christ.

I wold say you probably had a bad teacher.
I too used to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and even when I started to study and understand biology (evolution is the basis of modern biology), that didn't make me to loose my faith in god!
I will not lie to you. Today I consider myself as an atheist. But the events that caused me to loose my faith had almost nothing to do with my 'belief' in evolution. In fact, if you want to know, I think it had more to do with my knowledge of the bible. Yes, I used to study the bible a lot. I even took courses. And the more I studied, the more I started to find it to be unreasonable to believe it literately and to believe that we can take good morals from it.

Now, if you really want "to understand evolution as much as posible", I would tell you to start by learning geology and then biology. Why geology first? It will help you understand the importance of the fossil record.

My teacher is Jesus Christ through His Spirit. I have no human teacher in the spiritual matters . Well... your testimony is sad... You know what I sincerely believe? I think that you never were a christian to begin with... It is easy to profess Jesus Christ and think that you are a christian and it is a totally different story to really BE a christian. Most professing "christians" today are NOT christians.

Tell me about the importance of fossil record. I once went to a museum in downtown Montreal (McGill University) with my biology class and had many questions to ask with respect to a huge fossil out there. My teacher was unable to clarify the doubts in my mind with regards to the exact method of finding the age of such a fossil. I consider myself to be quite ignorant in this area though. I study electrical engineering, not biology, nor geology.

Do you know the exact mathematical method used to calculate the age of fossils? (I think it has something to deal with the decay of carbon inside the fossil)...

in this group, qe dont like the creationism, religion like cristianity is not science, you can't put your personal believes (like the geneisi for example) as facts, science, proves that evolution really happens, you must study a lot of science, maybe your techer is a bad teacher, so read more instead waiting answers from your teachers.

Now, about the fossils... It's not just a matter of age, but also the locations where they are found and also understand why that happens. I read a hole book of geology to understand it. I don't think you will be able to do the same with just some tips found here. You will have to do a research of your own...
Get a book or something.

I find Christ everywhere... He is in cosmology, physics, chemistry, biology... I really like studying science and how it shows that creationism is true!

I want specific, "logical" proofs proving that Lee Strobel is NOT a man of science... I want you to tell me who defines what a man of science is? What's the reference point? This guys spends his life acquiring knowledge on that particular subject only...

Yes, there is a reference point to know whether or not someone is being scientific.
To be scientific you'll have to use the Scientific Method.
The Scientific Method has a set of basic rules:
- the proposal of a hypotheses to explain a phenomenon, and the design of experimental studies to test that hypotheses.
- These steps must be repeatable, in order to dependably predict any future results.
- If your hypothesis is confirmed, that hypothesis can generate laws or theories.

Look, I'm not saying Lee Strobel didn't spend his life acquiring knowledge on that subject.
I'm just saying he didn't use the Scientific Method.
Why? Not only creationism was already proved as not being science, by a court, it also doesn't obey the rules above (Just one of MANY examples: god cannot be tested).
The knowledge he has, was acquired by Dogma, not the Scientific Method.
Dogma, like the Scientific Method, is a method of acquiring knowledge.
Nowadays, Dogma is considered an obsolete method to acquire knowledge, because the Scientific Method gives much more practical results.
