I am not a drinker, I don't have the stomach for it. But when I think of wine, I think of my forefathers, I think of wonderful flavors, I think of all the great care that went into producing what one may see as a work of art, I think of the tending of the grapes, of my father jumping around barefoot in a large vat squashing grapes with his feet, and I think of life, love, and red blood that runs wine.

Like with food and getting fat, how people abuse anything falls completely on their shoulders, nothing is good in excess, everything in balance is just living:)

DO NOT DRINK WHEN YOU ARE ON YOUR JOB.

A drunk guy walked into a little corner store with a shotgun and demanded all
of the cash from the cash drawer.
After the cashier put the cash in a bag, the robber saw a bottle of
Scotch that he wanted behind the counter on the shelf. He told the
cashier to put it in the bag as well, but the cashier refused and said,
'Because I don't believe you are over 21.' The robber said he was, but
the clerk still refused to give it to him because she didn't believe
him. At this point, the robber took his driver's licence out of his
wallet and gave it to the clerk.
The clerk looked it over and agreed that the man was in fact over 21 and
she put the Scotch in the bag. The robber then ran from the store with
his loot.
The cashier promptly called the police and gave the name and address of
the robber that she got off the licence. They arrested the robber two
hours later.

Hahaha!:) Is it a smart clerk or a dumb thief?

It would seem that somebody is mightily preoccupied with alcohol.

I think it is part of religious brain washing being played-out..I think.

I know a bit about wine, there is art in the making (Erp Nov 4)

There is art in the preparation….temperature, the food to match, the main course the entrées etc…

There is art in how to drink, and appreciate

There is art in your soul after a small sip of best red wines I know.

Ex. Fancy restaurants bottle of wine 80euros…..most be a “reserve” so a wine with a couple years……to appreciate you must open the bottle 1 hour and half before….so you need to know a bit…….to appreciate red wine.

When you finish your meal it’s when you should start drinking the wine.

I admit that I am a regular drinker. There is no harm in consumption of Alcohol in moderation, I believe.
Prohibition ( of liquor) had been imposed in past on people by many governments in the in world including India. These dictates resulted in disastrous results; illicit distillation coursing deaths, creation of mafia of goons, loss of revenue to Govt.

No doubt use of Alcohol is an evil. I also believe, it can not be eliminated from the face of earth because it is ingrained in human psyche.

Its rooted in our genes were ingrained when we were hunter- gatherer. Man discovered affect of alcohol when he ate fermented fruits in absence of fresh fruits. Since then man like Psychotropic substances. Alcohol is safer then other drugs, you may agree.

Scott, If I am not wrong, you started ALCOHOLOCAUST with the intention to stop use of alcohol. It is noble intention.

God instructed Adam not to eat a particular fruit. Okay. But out of curiosity, he did eat the fruit. No body is going to listen to FATWA (dogma) against alcohol.
