here is what I got from the irc channel:

(01:24:35 PM) fer1: hello. just want confirmation that it's not just me.. i'm trying to run my app and I get errors saying gadgets.rpc has no properties and gadgets.json has no properties.
(01:24:48 PM) fer1: is there a work around? is hi5 working on it?
(01:24:52 PM) dayal-hi5: hi5status: Major issue with our CDN....Disabling applications while we address it.
(01:25:06 PM) fer1: cool
(01:25:16 PM) fer1: any eta? or am i done for the day?

Thanks. THis is why I hate making IRC the preferred communication channel. No one sees this stuff. If they'd post it here or twitter, then everyone would know. Instead of continually banging our heads on the wall wondering why nothing is working.

we did add the status to our Twitter feed as the situation evolved. The IRC channel is not optimal but it's the most real time method possible, compared even to Twitter. We're trying to keep all channels updated as we go along.

There's no ETA yet on the CDN problems we've had, but we do see some activity restored and will probably announce a full recovery by EOD.

Checked twitter and all it says is that apps are back and stats are working. However, nothing is still loading. A simple hello world app never loads. Nothing else ever loads. Nothing is working at all.

Me too. And while I take the xml url which can't be opened and put it into the GGE or as gadget to igoogle it works.
e.g:
http://www.hi5.com/friend/apps/developer/app/get/xml/14312
Even if I refresh the page a few tines and get it, nothing is rendered. Empty page.
