could you please send us some examples where you thing we should improve the translation. Of course we want to have our site nearly flawlessly translated and your opinion (and the opinion of every user)is very valuable to us specially when it comes from native sources.
It still has a few sections without tranlation, a few things put out of context, too literally translated or even too formal (this is a youth oriented site). I chcked the Brazilian Portuguese and it looks even worse.
Another flaw is that somethings are even translated without the sense of the layout, using longer words and then deforming the layout, when a smaller word of equal meaning might keep the sentence in one line, not breaking the website arrangement, element positioning and layout.
This all becomes even worse when the website layout is changed and new features introduced (happening quite often) which often happens without proper translation of those elements. This is in my opinion, unfortunate. To show new features and then to have people look at them badly translated? First impressions are very important.
Most people won't complain, they are here just to meet cute people and look at their pictures...lots of them won't even notice since they are used to writing text messages and IMing where proper spelling and languages are butchered, but honestly this gives the website a somewhat clumsy look.
And considering the importance Hi5 has grown in the Portuguese social scene, and looking at the competition (Netlog has a nearly FLAWLESS website in terms of translation, not to mention look, feel and arrangement) I find this situation surprising.
P.S.: Please improve moderation, because a lot of spam and bots are gettting Hi5 flooded with ads and fake profiles. Groups are becoming unbearable and useless due to this...
Hi Christophe!
I noticed another thing...
When we receive a profile coment and the repectiv email.. it should say «comentários do perfil» not «comentários do perfile da vista»
