"Bahamian compilation CD" almost sends shivers down my own spine. Why we gatta hold ourselves down and think inside the box?
You haveta basically daily hear that no Bahamian Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B/Rock etc. artist is going to make it in the Bahamas cuz we are so unapreciative of our own brothers and sisters no matter how hard they try or how good the product is. We need to start discouraging that practice. and it may just be too late for the elders of this generation, but if the youger ones are given the choice, I'm sure they can find at least 2 Bahamian artists they like.
Let's give ourselves a chance to make our country a country WE want to live in, because we do have the power to do it. We can make this country a place where we want to live, or we can all abandon it and watch people of other nations come here and enjoy what we have forsaken and then get jealous and try to take it back.... It's oru country, our choice, our lives.
