Nehilet is a seasoned artiste with a wealth of talent and experience. She’s a songbird since the age of four and composer since the age of six. A daughter of the late Ras Shorty I, the inventor of Soca and Jamoo music, Nehilet is presently a lead vocalist and musician for The Love Circle. She has performed with the band throughout the Caribbean, North America and Europe. This vibrant young lady sees her purpose as bringing light and joy to the world through her music. Nehilet is currently working on her first solo album that is to be titled “Favour”. She shares her album’s title track on this Singles Collective compilation, along with a Sherwin Gardener composition named “Feel Your Touch”. Both songs address her up and down relationship with God and gives testimony to His healing hand in her life. This notable fashion designer also plays the kit drum, guitar, violin and pan. She is excited about releasing her debut album soon and looks forward to sharing many other surprises that she has in her hat. Indeed, there is much more to come from the creative powerhouse known as Nehilet Blackman. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
