Al!!! WOW…what can I say?!?!? First and foremost, AL and I go back! And I mean WAY back!!! He was my Steel Pan Instructor and straight up, he put together some of the CRAZIEST arrangements EVER!!! The Nutt Cracker, Un-break my heart…the list goes on!!! But yo, High Mass was by far my FAVOURITE Foster arrangement!!!! TOO CRAZY!!!! Anyone that knows Al can tell you, that he knows his shit when it comes to music. Check this out…Al was working with Jesse Ketchum Pan Vibrations and when he moved to run the show with Pan Fantasy, nearly all the top players from Jesse went to play with Fantasy. Why…Al of course!!! And I’ll never forget the army uniforms his band had for Caribanna!!! But seriously though, I’ll cut to the chase. I’ve learned soooo much about music, musical arrangements and life in general from this guy! I was arguably one of the most versatile and talented musicians he ever taught (hahaha…jokes), but they say you’re only as good as you’re teacher! All the past summers, steel ban competitions and performances, caribanna parades that we’ve had together we’re ALWAYS memorable! He’s straight up and honest and always makes others around him feel comfortable. I’m not big on throwing people compliments, but I believe in giving shit where it’s due! Also, I CAN’T believe Al is the age he claims…cuz he’s TRULY a kid at HEART!!!! Yo Al, I’m in a party mooooood!!!! And may God bless.
