They came with their guns
And cruel intentions
Callous beings they were
Captured and enslaved
A great race, without remorse.
Taken from their homelands
Severed from their families and cultures
They say we’re the strongest of the lot
So it’s our destiny to toil until we rot.
Who are these creatures that would commit such an act?
And to say you’re superior because you’re white and we’re black
Balck! Yes
But our blood doesn’t change with complexion
Black! Yes
But Kings and Queens
Not men emerging from caves to be taught about civilization.
This unjust act will forever be remembered for years to come
Many lives destroyed
Children left without hope
Pleading faces….dying cases
And to this day, tainted memories.
The Almighty never sleeps
Rewards will be granted!
Wait!
We will rise
And only time will tell
In this over sized sphere which
We think we know so well.
