Multazim Par Dua by Mufti Taqi Usmani
"O my Lord, I come to Your door as a beggar In complete indigence,
bringing only my humility and shame. A beggar who has neither a joli nor a
begging-bowl A beggar slain by his desires and cravings. Having squandered the
treasure of Deen and intellect at the hands of the ego; Having sacrificed
contentment of heart at the altar of lust and pleasure Losing my wealth in the
quick-sand of heedlessness and sin I have come to seek refuge under the covering
of your Kaaba. Through the stains of sin the heart's world is suffering
Aspirations are weak, the will broken and hope is dead. From whence should I
find the strength to express the heart truly? For in this snare have I passed
every moment of my life In short, having been burnt at the stake of my own
ill-deeds In abject poverty due to the evil of my state To you have I brought my
ill-stricken fate Empty-handed of any deed befitting your House. This House of
yours, which is your court of Love and Grace O Lord Tis wholly Light and the
repository of all Lights O Lord Being completely ignorant of the manners of your
Doorstep A beggar knowing not how to beg My tongue fails to convey my heart's
feeling O Lord, have mercy on this wordless speech! These eyes are dry, O Lord,
knowing not how to weep Festering spots in the heart that can't be cleansed out.
O my Lord I have come to your door as a beggar wholly indigent, in abject
humility and full of shame"

Success in this world and in the hereafter lies only in complete Islam - The Commands of Allah and the ways of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
Enjoyments pass while consequences remain
The problems of this world is not a problem. The problems of Akhirah is a serious problem
Mustawrid ibn Shaddaad (Radhiallaahu Anhu) narrates that I heard the Prophet of Allah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) saying, By Allah, (the luxuries of) this world in comparison to the hereafter is nothing but as though one of you dipped his finger in the sea. So ponder how much (of sea water), the finger returns with. (Mishkaat pg.439; Edition Meraaj)
Commentary
The wetness of the dipped finger in the vast ocean is likened to the luxuries of the world. The vast ocean itself is likened to the luxuries of the hereafter. Just as the proportion of the wetness of the dipped finger in the vast ocean cannot be compared to the ocean itself, similarly, the very limited comforts and luxuries of this world cannot be compared to the unlimited comforts and luxuries of the Hereafter.
Why should we then not exhaust ourselves to earn the unlimited comforts of the hereafter which is eternal as opposed to exhausting ourselves only to the limited comforts of this temporary world.
Our attitude is similar to preferring the wetness of the finger to the extremely vast ocean! What a selfish choice?
Wise Story A highly skilled carpenter who had grown old was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. The employer was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter agreed to this proposal but made sure that this will be his last project. Being in a mood to retire, the carpenter was not paying much attention to building this house. His heart was not in his work. He resorted to poor workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career. When the job was done, the carpenter called his employer and showed him the house. The employer handed over some papers and the front door key to the carpenter and said "This is your house, my gift to you." The carpenter was in a shock! What a shame! If he had only known that he was building his own house, he would have made it better than any other house that he ever built! Our situation can be compared to this carpenter. Allah Ta'la has sent us to this world to build our homes in paradise by obeying His commands. Now, we have to decide how well we wish to build the homes where we will live forever .

There is none worthy of worship save Allah, Who is Everlasting and Immortal. Neither drowsiness nor sleep can touch Him. He is the sole Possessor and Ruler of everything in the heaven and earth. No one dares to recommend anybody in His Court of Justice but with his permission. Whatever is happening to the living people and whatever will happen after their death, is completely known to Allah. People cannot know anything of His knowledge but whatever he wishes them to know. His Throne is so vast that it encompasses the heaven and earth and He is never tired to control and protect both of them. He is Sublime and Great.
